Group Policy

Hi Everyone,

Please help me to understand this. We have a single site, single domain environment which is running on Windows 2012 R2 server. I can see that 'Max App Log Size policy' is applying and it is set to 16xxx KB but when I log-in to any server and check manually, I can see the maximum application log size  is set to 32XXX KB.

I have checked and found that I have a Group Policy that is set at:

Computer Config\Policies\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Event Log: Maximum application log size = 16XXX kilobytes, gpresult shows the above policy setting is the winning GPO.

I've just noticed another GPO setting that looks similar and which actually applying on my all servers-

Computer Config\Policies\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Event Log Service\Application: Specify the maximum log file size (KB). I wonder what the difference is?
