We have VMWare 5.0 client machines running Windows Server 2012 R2 that are getting their storage from their vmsf datastores. But when running reports they are all showing fragmentation on their hard drives. Is it possible for .vmx extension to actually have fragmentation on a windows operating system that is virtual?
What would be a pro or con against defragmenting Server 2012 R2 that running as a virtualmachine?
