Server with two Physical NICs and one virtual

Hi all.

I have a physical server which is hosting a VM serving as DHCP server(Attached to NIC1 and a VirtualNIC for a virtual internal network which other VMs connect to).

The server has two physical NICs:

1: Connected to external network (external dynamic IP)

2. Currently not connected

I was to be able to connect a physical client to the second NIC and get an IP from the DHCP server. Have tried connecting a switch to NIC2 and set the binding on DHCP server however an IP is given to the physical machine but can't ping anything. Weird thing is I managed somehow to RDP to the physical machine from the internal network from one of the VMs.

DNS/PING and all outgoing communication fails. Have tried even to cnfigure the default gateway on NIC2 to be the IP of the Virtual NIC. No joy.

I am pretty much stuck - any input would be welcomed.
