Error with Hyper V

Hi All

I had converted a physical server to a Hyper V Virtual machine. I stored the VHD file on a external Hard disk and share it out as a network share. I am trying to connect this Virtual hard disk to the Hyper V.

First I will try to use the virtual machine wizard, when it come to the "connect virtual hard disk" I will browse to the location and to attached it. but I always receive this following error

'SQL failed to add resources to 'SQL'

Failed to set foler permission (Virtual machine ID 89B2A7DA-33AB-4CB7-B907-29A8683CB94C)

'SQL' failed to add resources (Virtual machine ID 89B2A7DA-33AB-4CB7-B907-29A8683CB94C)

'SQL'failed to set folder permission for H:\virtual machines\SQL: the system cannot find the path specified (0x80070003) (Virtual machine ID 89B2A7DA-33AB-4CB7-B907-29A8683CB94C)

If I create the virtual machine first and try to add the virtual hard disk,  I will receive the same error as well

I check under the event viewer and I saw event 19110 was captured there

I will appreciate if someone could assist and share with me what is going on? Thank you very much
