Hyper V loses internet connections when i set static IP

Hello all

I am still a novice and i have little problem. I have Hyper V setup running on windows 8 host. I have configured network setting and connecting on internet on server 2008. My problem arises when i am trying to configure static IP address on server 2008. The network yields yellow exclamation and i cannot connect to internet. But when i leave the IP blank, i can connect with no problem. 

Any person who will give a step by step support will earn honor from me
