Hyper-V configuring with a single nic card

I have a Windows Server 2012 R2 parent and am installing Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard and Windows Server 2012 R2 as children.  I have 1 nic card that is available (it's what I've been given to work with and it is a dedicated box, so I am unable to change this).

I have been looking for several days to find a step by step guide in setting up multiple children under a single card.  Without success.

Currently, I have assigned a static IP address to the parent and then a static IP address to the 2008 box, both can see the internet.  However, I'm a bit confused as to how to configure the other 2012 box without a static IP address but using a VPN address.

I would think that what I should do is setup a second virtual switch, assign a static ip to that switch, and then create a virtual nic card in each child, assign the vpn address and then for the default gateway use the virtual switch?  The question is do I need to also configure the Routing and Remote Access?

If there is a walk through anywhere which clearly states the steps necessary for setting up multiple children and parent under a single nic card, that'd be great too.
