Hi Guys,
I have 3 x Windows 2012 R2 servers setup running win 10 VDIs. About 60 on each server. Each servers has a NVIDIA Quadro P4000 graphic card. Mostly these system are running fine. When I purchase these server I read articles suggesting to install graphic cards.
I am now in the process of purchasing 1 or 2 new server and over the last couple of years have read some more article that seem to indicate graphic card mostly help with 3D rendering and the like. As the user are only really running standard windows GUI programs and some video, I am not sure if the graphic cards will really help.
Can anyone tell me if a graphic card will help for standard Windows GUI application and Video, or if I am better to drop the cost of the graphic card and purchase 2 servers rather than 1? The cards cost about $6000.
Thanks for your time in advance
Craig
